| KLEINHOFF HOTEL (Region 2, Subtitles in Japanese)     Bruce as a terrorist Karl Alex. A rich lady misses a flight for her trip during her husband leaves for a business trip. Then she stays at Kleinhoff Hotel where she used to stay in her school days to wait for another flight, she gets interested in a guy next door. She finds she can look into his room from a crack. They pass each other in the hotel and both of them can't help staring. The lady starts "stalking" him when he goes out. Finally she gets to his room by herself and they make love again and again, but next morning she finds he slashed his wrist and died. It's obvious that the DVD which was released from Nippon Columbia (COBM-5024, out in 1999, not available, and I bought it) is not digitally remastered from the original tape. And I found the "warning" before/after the movie on this DVD starts like "this video is.....", this means the DVD is just a copy of video master tape. The sound of this movie would be dubbed after as it gets delayed a bit from when casts talk??? And subtitles are only in Japanese. I don't know if another release of Geneon (PIBF-7556, out in 2003, not available) in Japan would be the same though, I hope a company which will release another DVD of this movie will get it digitally remastered and put subtitles both in Japanese and English. This quality can be called a "bootleg"! What Bruce in this movie looks get closer to what he now looks than the time of "ROMEO AND JULIET". He wore a beard and mustache, he would look much younger if he didn't have them. Bruce describes this movie as a high-class pornography (quote from "Smoking In Bed"), and I thought it would be totally a porno movie when I see photos on the DVD from Nippon Columbia, but it isn't. Unfortunately the story is boring. And I don't suggest you to buy and watch this movie as long as you're not a big fan of Bruce, or Corinne Clery as the rich lady in this movie, and aka "O"(from "HISTOIRE D' O"). These days only Italian release is available. |
